We know that when you have children to think about, making plans for Valentine’s day is the last thing on your mind. But if you’re fortunate enough to have at least one night off this week, why not head down to the theatre and catch one of these last minute Valentine’s day deals that From The Box Office has to offer.

Here are our theatre recommendations for this week:

RSC’s Much Ado About Nothing

Date night this week wouldn’t be complete without the true romantic himself William Shakespeare so you can catch Much Ado About Nothing (or Love’s Labour’s Won) at the West End. Written at the end of the 16th century, The Royal Shakespeare Company have adapted the comic play for a post-WW1 setting. The gloomy and terrifying trenches are replaced by glamorous parties, masquerade balls and passionate but turbulent relationships.

If you prefer drama over conventional romance, The Kite Runner is a must-see. It tells the tale of two childhood friends in Afghanistan whose lives, just like the country, are torn apart. A kite-flying tournament unites them, but is that enough for them to overcome the terrifying incidents that lie ahead? It’s a heartbreaking story, but nonetheless beautiful and gripping in every way.
